Half-Life 1 games are wildly popular these days, with one of the most recent being the recently released Episode Three. However, there's a small problem: There have been a few bugs in Episode 3, which have caused some to get stuck at certain areas. Quite a few people have found that they cannot continue their game because they don't know how to push a button or push them in the wrong direction! This article will tell you how to fix this problem and progress further in your Half-Life 1 game. With this easy trick you'll be right back where you were before the bug hit! In other words it saves time and frustration which is sure to make everyone happy. Step 1: Firstly, get out of the area where you believe the bug has happened. Step 2: Open up the console by pressing the ~ key. Step 3: Type 'sv_cheats 1' and press enter. This enables cheats so now you can teleport to the area where you are stuck. Press tilde (~) to open up console again after finishing step 3. -OR- If you are playing on a local server type "changelevel mapname" with no quotes in order to switch maps within a server without having to restart Half Life 1 or your Steam client. Step 4: Type 'disconnect' and press enter. This will disconnect you from the server that you are on. -OR- If you are playing on a local server type "connect IP or hostname" with no quotes. Step 5: Restart your game and go back to where you were stuck, wherever that may be. -OR- If you are playing on a local server type "disconnect" with no quotes to disconnect from the server that you are on which will take you back to your desktop. Then restart your game and go back to where you were stuck, wherever that may be. Step 6: Type 'mapname' and press enter. This will load the map for you along with the area where you were stuck. You can now proceed to do whatever it was that you had been doing before the bug hit. As a sidenote, using the sv_cheats 1 method is a great way to practice some new skills on some of your favorite maps or trying out some new fun cheats that will give you god-like powers in your games! 1. Open up Steam and run Halflife 2 from there. 2. Start a single player game and then pause the game once you're in the menu screen. 3. Go to the console by pressing ~ (tilde key) and then type 'sv_cheats 1' and press enter. 4. Then type 'god' and press enter, now you'll be fully invincible apart from fall damage! 5.
